1994 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T
2.5L RB25DET Turbo Inline-6, 4-Speed Automatic, 173,521 km, 2-Door Coupe, RWD. Chassis: ECR33-001958. VIN: 6P91MP0RTRHGH1026. Location: Beverley SA. No GST.
Description / Overview:
The R33 GTS-T needs no introduction. RB25DET under the bonnet, turbo coupe body, and this one carries an unusually early production number. ECR33-001958 places this among the first R33 coupes off the production line. The factory build plate confirms KH2 Gun Grey Metallic, the RB25DET engine, and the RE4R01A 4-speed automatic. Japanese import, confirmed by the parking permit sticker on the rear glass.
This is a driven and modified car, and it wears that honestly. A front-mount intercooler conversion is in place with polished aluminium hard pipes and blue silicone couplers. A Cusco strut tower brace with anodised blue mounts spans the engine bay. The exhaust is large-diameter stainless with an HKS-style canister tip showing proper heat discolouration from genuine use. An HKS-style full auto turbo timer sits in the centre stack. A boost gauge is bracket-mounted under the steering column. The factory airbox is out, replaced with an aftermarket pod filter in blue mesh. This is a proper mod list, not a sticker job.
The cabin retains the original GTS-T charcoal velour buckets. The velour shows honest wear, matted and slightly faded on the seating surfaces and bolsters, but there are no tears or rips. A Sony head unit sits in the dash. The headliner shows early adhesive fatigue at the edges. The boot houses a Pioneer subwoofer enclosure, and there is surface corrosion on the rear bulkhead behind it. Give that area a close look before collection.
On the outside, the Gun Grey Metallic holds its gloss well on the lower panels and doors. The headline cosmetic issues are the bonnet, the roof, and the rear spoiler. The bonnet has a prominent oval clear coat delamination patch plus light surface imperfections near the wiper cowl. The roof carries bird dropping etch marks and clear coat deterioration consistent with prolonged UV exposure. The rear spoiler has significant paint peeling with large patches of substrate exposed and will need stripping and repainting or replacement. Right-hand mirror also has noted imperfections. Lower front bumper shows stone chips and the fog light lenses are yellowed. These items are factored clearly into the guide.
Wheels are aftermarket silver 6-spoke alloys, likely Z33 350Z units with Nissan centre caps, fitted with Winrun rubber. Light kerb rash on the rims. The car sits mildly low, consistent with earlier spring or coilover work.
Price Guide: $25,000 - $35,000
R33 GTS-T autos sit below manual examples in collector demand, but the early chassis number, Cusco brace, FMIC conversion, and HKS exhaust add genuine value. The bonnet, roof, and spoiler paint work are the main detractor and the guide reflects that. Strong buy for someone who wants an early-build R33 with a real spec sheet and is not precious about a cosmetic project.
