WWII BRITISH MILITARY GAS MASK WITH FILTER CANISTER - 1941A SECOND WORLD WAR ERA BRITISH MILITARY GAS MASK WITH ATTACHED FILTER CANISTER. THE MASK IS CONSTRUCTED FROM MOULDED RUBBER WITH TWO CIRCULAR GLASS EYE LENSES SET IN METAL RETAINING RINGS, A CENTRAL NOSE DEFLECTOR, AND A FRONT-MOUNTED CYLINDRICAL FILTER CANISTER WITH A PERFORATED FACE PLATE. THE FILTER CANISTER DISPLAYS COLOURED BAND RINGS (GREEN AND RED VISIBLE) AROUND ITS CIRCUMFERENCE.MARKINGS ARE VISIBLE ON THE RIGHT CHEEK OF THE MASK. THE CHARACTERS APPEAR TO READ BRF WITH ADDITIONAL MARKINGS BELOW, THOUGH SOME ARE PARTIALLY WORN.
