Condition Notes
The top surface shows scratches, scuffs and areas of paint loss across the black lacquer finish. The front door panels retain their hand-painted decoration with floral vase scenes framed by green, red and gold scrollwork borders; some cracking and crazing is visible in the painted surface. The lower front rail shows green paint with areas of wear and paint loss. The side panels are finished in a red-brown stain with scratches and minor paint loss visible. The rear panel is unfinished timber with surface scratches and minor marks. The interior is unfinished timber with a single shelf; both compartments appear structurally sound. The base rail shows paint wear and chipping at the corners. Both doors open and close; round metal pull handles are present on each door. General age-related wear is present throughout, including edge chipping and surface abrasion.
