This lot comprises two vintage hand tools manufactured in Australia, both displaying authentic patina consistent with decades of working use:

1. Spade with Wooden Handle
Blade dimensions: Approximately 19cm wide x 30cm deep
Total length: Approximately 150cm
Blade material: Cast iron with rust patina
Handle: Timber (hardwood construction)
Markings: "WITTELS" stamped on blade face
Condition: Functional, heavy surface oxidation and rust patina throughout blade. Handle shows age-related wear, minor cracks in timber consistent with age and use. Blade edge worn from use but structurally sound.

2. Mattock / Pickaxe with Wooden Handle
Head dimensions: Approximately 10cm across striking faces
Total length: Approximately 88cm
Head material: Forged steel with rust patina
Handle: Timber (hardwood construction)
Markings: "MADE IN AUSTRALIA" and manufacturer stamp visible on ferrule
Condition: Functional, heavy surface oxidation throughout. Handle shows significant age-related wear and minor splitting. Both striking faces intact and usable.
