A Jacobean Revival Chest Of Drawers In Oak, Featuring Characteristic Barley Twist Uprights And Legs, Geometric Raised Panel Moulding To The Drawer Fronts And Side Panels, And Carved Rope Twist Moulding To The Base Rail And Top Edge.

The Piece Comprises A Raised Back Gallery With A Single Small Drawer Fitted With A Turned Timber Knob, Flanked By Two Tall Barley Twist Columns. Below, The Main Body Houses Two Short Drawers Over Two Long Drawers, Each With Geometric Raised Panel Moulding And Fitted With Brass Ring Pull Handles. The Sides Feature Matching Raised Panel Decoration. The Chest Stands On Four Barley Twist Legs Joined By A Barley Twist Front Stretcher.

Condition:
The Top Surface Shows Significant Finish Loss With Areas Of Bare Timber Exposed, Along With Surface Marks And Ring Marks. The Drawer Fronts Retain Their Darker Finish With General Age-Related Wear And Patina Loss To Edges And High Points. A Minor White Mark Is Visible On The Top Surface. The Barley Twist Legs And Uprights Appear Intact With No Visible Breaks. The Carved Rope Twist Moulding To The Base Rail Is Intact. All Brass Ring Pull Handles Are Present On The Lower Drawers.
