Item Description
A finely crafted sarangi, a classical Indian bowed string instrument renowned for its warm, soulful tonal qualities and expressive capabilities. This traditional instrument features a distinctive pear-shaped wooden body with a resonant soundboard, characteristic of authentic sarangi construction.

Construction & Materials
The sarangi exhibits traditional craftsmanship with a solid wood body finished in rich burgundy-brown tones. The instrument features a carved wooden neck with ornate inlay work in contrasting light wood, displaying intricate decorative patterning along the upper register. The soundboard is constructed from aged wood with a natural cream finish, providing optimal acoustic resonance.

String Configuration
The instrument is equipped with multiple sympathetic strings running along the fingerboard, visible as a series of fine metal strings. The main playing strings are positioned above the fingerboard, with tuning pegs featuring hand-turned wooden knobs with bone or ivory inlay details. The bridge assembly is precisely carved and positioned to optimise string vibration and tonal projection.
