Condition Notes
This is a well-used antique violin howing honest wear consistent with age and performance use. The instrument displays a rich amber-brown varnish with natural patina throughout. Minor surface marks, scratches and wear visible on the body, particularly on the lower bout and edges, as shown in photographs. The scroll exhibits fine hand-carved detail typical of quality European manufacture. All four strings are present and functional. The wooden bridge is fitted and appears sound. Fine tuners are operational. The bow shows signs of use but remains playable; horsehair is present though reharing is recommended for optimal performance. The hard case is original to the instrument with red velvet interior lining intact and brass fittings secure.
