Verso backing: Shows significant water staining (large tidemark in upper right area of backing board); dust cover torn at corners. Buyers should inspect in person. The condition issues noted are more pronounced than others in the series.<br>

A stylised sailing/coastal screenprint depicting a large red-and-white striped spinnaker sail dominating the left portion, with rolling green headlands rising from a deep blue sea. The composition is bold and graphic, with flat clean colour fields and a strong visual impact. The title "WINNING" likely references the racing sailing context and the striking image of a spinnaker fully deployed. One of four prints by Beckmann in this auction from the 1984 coastal series (also including Lots 223, 224, and 225). Pencil-inscribed lower left: "54/250"; lower centre: "WINNING"; lower right: artist signature and date "'84."<br>
