Product Description
The Rockford Basket Press Shiraz is a flagship expression from one of Australia's most respected independent winemakers. This wine is crafted using traditional basket press methods, a labour-intensive technique that extracts maximum flavour and complexity from premium Barossa Valley fruit. The 2022 vintage showcases the region's signature characteristics: rich dark berry fruit, savoury tannin structure, and the distinctive peppery spice notes that define quality Barossa Shiraz.

Tasting notes indicate concentrated plum and blackberry on the palate, layered with licorice, black pepper, and subtle oak influence. The wine is structured with ripe, integrated tannins and displays excellent balance between fruit intensity and savoury complexity. This is the sort of wine that rewards cellaring—it's crafted with sufficient depth and structure to develop beautifully over the next 10–15 years, though it is equally approachable now for those who prefer immediate enjoyment.
