SULLIVAN'S COVE RARE TASMANIAN FRENCH OAK CASK MATURED SINGLE CASK MALT WHISKY – LIMITED EDITION

Bottle 419 of 495 | 700ml

An exceptional single cask release from one of Australia's most internationally acclaimed whisky distilleries, this Sullivan's Cove Rare Tasmanian French Oak Cask Matured Single Cask Malt Whisky is a superb example of the rich, full-bodied style that has made the distillery's French Oak expressions among the most sought-after in the world. Filled on 7 July 2006 and matured for almost 11 years before bottling on 21 March 2017, this outstanding whisky was drawn exclusively from Barrel TD0117, producing just 495 bottles worldwide. Offered here is Bottle No. 419.

Matured in a French oak ex-Australian fortified wine cask, Barrel TD0117 beautifully showcases Sullivan's Cove's signature maturation style, where premium French oak enhances the spirit with remarkable richness and complexity while preserving its elegant Tasmanian character. The result is a whisky layered with dark fruits, rich chocolate, baking spices and refined oak tannins, balanced by the vibrant fruit profile that has become synonymous with the distillery. Individually bottled from a single cask, this release is a unique expression that can never be recreated.

The nose is rich and expressive, opening with aromas of black cherries, ripe plums, dried figs and blackberry conserve, complemented by notes of vanilla bean, dark toffee, polished oak and warm baking spices. The palate is luxurious and full-bodied, revealing flavours of dark chocolate, Christmas cake, caramelised raisins, roasted coffee beans, orange marmalade and toasted almonds, enhanced by hints of clove, cinnamon and silky French oak tannins. The finish is exceptionally long and elegant, lingering with impressions of rich cocoa, dried fruits, sweet baking spice and beautifully integrated French oak, delivering a refined and memorable conclusion.

Released during the era that cemented Sullivan's Cove's reputation among the world's leading whisky producers, Barrel TD0117 represents the exceptional quality that has earned the distillery numerous international accolades. With an outturn of just 495 bottles, almost 11 years of maturation, and provenance from one of the world's most highly awarded whisky producers, this Rare Tasmanian French Oak Single Cask TD0117 is an outstanding acquisition for collectors, investors and connoisseurs seeking a premium Australian single malt.

Approximate Original Release RRP: AUD $750 (based on comparable Sullivan's Cove French Oak Single Cask releases from 2017).
