A dark atmospheric band in deep charcoal, black, and plum occupies the upper third of each piece, transitioning to a lighter field of pale cream, grey, and lavender below. In the lighter zone, overlapping oval and elliptical forms are rendered with sweeping white, grey, pink, and mauve outlines and fills, creating a semi-abstract quality that suggests objects on a surface or an atmospheric landscape. Intentional vertical drip marks cross the transition zone from dark to light on both pieces, tying the two areas together compositionally.
