Three 1950 Australian Commonwealth Half Penny Bronze Coins - King George VI

Three 1950-dated Australian Commonwealth half penny coins in bronze. The 1950 issues carry the revised legend GEORGIVS VI D:G.BR:OMN:REX FIDEI DEF. on the obverse - the updated form adopted after India's independence in 1947, which removed the IND:IMP (Emperor of India) title. This makes 1950 a historically notable transition in the legend type for Australian George VI coinage. The reverse carries the standard Kruger Gray leaping kangaroo with AUSTRALIA / HALF PENNY.

Condition: The three coins range from approximately G-6 to VG-F (Sheldon scale). The best example shows a warm copper tone with reasonable kangaroo detail. The other two show heavier circulation wear, darker patina, and some surface corrosion or verdigris spots. One coin has a scratch across the obverse portrait. Lot of 3 coins. Sold as shown.
