Eight 1951-dated Australian Commonwealth half penny coins in bronze. All eight carry the standard Kruger Gray kangaroo reverse (AUSTRALIA / HALF PENNY) and the obverse bare-head portrait of King George VI by Thomas Humphrey Paget, with the post-1949 legend GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX FIDEI DEF: (the IND:IMP Emperor of India title having been dropped following Indian independence). The 1951 date is the final full year of King George VI's reign - he died on 6 February 1952 - making these among the last coins struck under his portrait.

Condition: The eight coins show significant variation, ranging from approximately F-12 to VF-20 (Sheldon scale). Most display natural brown to chocolate-brown patina. One coin shows darker patina with greenish toning suggesting different environmental storage. One coin has an unusual grey-silver tone possibly indicating prior cleaning.
