1952 Fiji Three Pence - King George VI Final Year Issue

A well-preserved example of the 1952 Fiji threepence, one of the final coins struck bearing the portrait of King George VI before his passing on 6 February 1952. The distinctive 12-sided (dodecagonal) nickel-brass flan carries a traditional Fijian bure hut flanked by palm trees on the reverse, with the full legend FIJI 1952 / THREE PENCE. The obverse bears the crowned portrait of King George VI with the legend KING GEORGE THE SIXTH.

Grade: Very Fine VF-30 (Sheldon scale). Both sides show crisp, well-defined design elements. High points carry moderate wear consistent with light circulation. Surfaces display natural golden-bronze patina without evidence of cleaning or chemical enhancement. No corrosion, rim knocks, or damage noted.

A sound, collectible example for the Pacific colonial series and for King George VI type collectors. The 1952 date places this among the last Fiji coins issued during his reign.
