This wine has been selected for our Premium ‘Regional Premium Selection’ series. Only outstanding
examples of a grape variety and its regional characteristics will qualify for this label. The grapes must
only come from the best vintages.
This wine truly reflects one of the great vineyards of Coldstream in the Yarra Valley region of Victoria.
The property nurtures some of the oldest vines in the region. The fruit harvested for this wine comes
from 30 year old vines. The picturesque vineyard lies on a gentle north-facing slope of the Great
Dividing Range, ideal for slow, steady ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 vintage was stunning
in the Yarra Valley, with mild conditions delivering wines of great balance and poise.
The 2012 Terra Felix Cabernet Sauvignon delivers power and grace, with classic varietal character
and regional charm. Aromas of dense plum and blackberry, old spice and perfumed violets open up to
reveal more subtle nuances of cedar, mint and chocolate.
The palate is rich and pure, delivering a core of dark fruits with great definition and concentration.
Blackcurrant, supple red berry fruits and chocolate flow on to the palate with undertones of spice and
dried herbs. Fine yet firm tannins frame the plush fruit, drawing contrast with the long, savory finish.
Matured in 45% new French Oak and old barriques for 16 months. The wine will improve with careful
cellaring for another 10 years.
