Vendor Advises:Several years ago, the vendor purchased the vessel in San Francisco and arranged for it to be shipped to Australia on a cradle. The first priority upon arrival was the manufacture of a custom-built trailer specifically designed for the boat. Following this, significant investment was made in upgrades including a new sounder and shore-based charging capability for the battery bank installed at that time.
Shortly thereafter, the vessel developed engine issues which required attention. Despite the extensive effort and expense involved in shipping and upgrades, the vessel had not yet been launched locally. Assessment revealed the existing engine had reached the end of its service life and would require replacement. Around this time, unforeseen health issues resulted in the project being placed on hold.
Recognising the quality and potential of the vessel, the vendor subsequently acquired it in its non-operational state. A new engine was then purpose-built from the ground up for the vessel, all associated systems and accessories were brought back into full working order, and the Minn Kota electric trolling motor was removed as it was surplus to requirements.
Unfortunately, ongoing health and mobility limitations prevented regular use of the boat. As a result, the vessel has seen only a handful of outings since completion, with the engine still within its break-in period. These circumstances ultimately led the vendor to engage Lloyds Auctions to assist in finding a more suitable new owner for the vessel.
