This wine portrays the elegance and class that only cool climate can deliver. The unique part is the depth and length of flavour.

The growing season for the 2021 started out quite cool but the onset of an “Indian Summer” saw fruit ripen very well with good crop loads. Not shy of flavour, wines across the board were very forward and rich. Sourced primarily from blocks A1 and C3, both of which have clone CW44 and the Reynella Selection, the fruit was quite ripe both with sugar/flavour and tannins.

The ferments were allowed to operate warm, allowing maximum benefit of the tannins in seeds and skins. The flavours, consequently, were quite bold as well. The wine was aged for 14 months in second use hogsheads (both French and American).
