Description:
Provenance: From the Estate of the late Malcolm Crabbe. Malcolm was a maintenance fitter by occupation, commencing an apprenticeship in 1969 with Thiess Brothers Pty Limited Brisbane as a coach and motor painter, completed in 1973 with very satisfactory conduct having been taught all classes of automotive and industrial spray painting as can be seen from the high standard of restoration and painting of antique machines in the collection. 

Malcolm worked as a spray painter for Thiess Brothers in their Brisbane construction workshop from 30/6/69 to 4/2/80. Malcolm also worked for Barlow World Coatings Australia for over 15 years.

Malcolm completed other courses and qualifications and was a maintenance fitter by occupation and assembled, maintained and restored his collection of antique and vintage machines over many years.

Malcolm was descended from early settlers, Walter and Elizabeth Crabbe, who arrived on the Clarence, NSW in 1841.

GENERAL AUCTION TERMS:
This is an Auction Sale. All goods sold "As is", Inspection is recommended prior to bidding.

Condition reports are guides as to our opinion of condition only, it is based on a number of factors that include (but are not limited to) the items age, provenance and avenue to market.

Where a Valuation is Provided: Valuation certificates are provided to indicate an estimated replacement cost of the item valued. It is the estimated cost of having an identical piece of jewellery replaced in the current market by a reputable jewellery manufacturer. This value is used for insurance purposes only and does not have any bearing on the retail price or the resale value.

The Auctioneer states that all or any items may have reserve prices. The reserve price is not met unless an email is sent confirming a successful purchase. If the bidding has not reached reserve the Auctioneer will refer the highest bid to the Vendor, the highest bidder shall have first right of refusal in any referred bids. Once the bidder has refused any counter offers or negotiations then the Auctioneer shall declare the goods open for negotiations with other potential purchasers.

In accordance with our vendor payment processes, Lloyds must be made aware of any issue with a purchase within 5 days of receipt. Claims are not able to be reviewed after this time as vendor payments have been processed.
