What do I do if the ‘Pay Now’ link does not work in my email?

Sorry for any inconvenience caused, if this occurs please log in to your account via our website. Go to My Account > Purchases and your invoice can be located through the highlighted blue dollar amount. This is your outstanding balance on that auction.

How often do you have auctions and when?

Lloyds has over 30 auctions per week, depending on quantities of stock we may receive. It’s best to regularly check out to ensure you don’t miss out on your bargain!

“My item is in contention”. What does this mean?

Your bid is in contention if you are the highest bidder at the point in time (this could be prior, during or post auction).
If the auction is closed you are the highest bidder, however, this is subject to any reserve and on you paying for the lot. 
You can check to see if you bid has been accepted by going to the 
My Account > Purchases page. If the item appears here your bid has been accepted. If it does not, it has been submitted to the vendor for their consideration and may be accepted, so please check back later. 

Are items available to buy now?

All items in our warehouse must go through the auction process initially. Although if we have items that go through an auction and remain in the warehouse, we allow these lots to be sold off of the floor. Come in store and we can tell you which items are available to take from the floor. All you need to do is take note of the sticker with the barcode number and see one of our friendly staff members for item details

How do I know if I have won an item?

If you are the top bidder at the time the lot closes you will see a green tick beside your bid and be in contention. If you are successful on the lot this will be confirmed by receiving a successful bid email.

How do I pay for my item that I’ve won?

There are several ways to process your payment. These include:

Online payments using direct deposit or credit card. Credit cards incur a 0.75% surcharge and we do not accept AMEX or Diners. All vehicles: Marine, Civil, and Auto, cannot be paid with a credit card. (If credit card issues occur please attempt a bank transfer as an alternative approach)

Alternatively, you can come in and see our friendly staff who can assist you with an In-House payment’. Our bank account details can be found under out Help Tab in Banking and Payment Details.

(Note: This is not applicable to our auctions that are held at a different location from 69 Manchester Road, Carrara. These auctions can only be processed through online payments.)

Why haven’t I received my activation email for my account?

If you have not received your activation email, please email your contact details to Please note that we have a maximum waiting period of 24 hours on this email account. If your request is urgent, please contact us on (07) 5559 1999 and select ‘0’ to be transferred directly to our customer service team.

What is my customer number?

Your customer number is your individual identification number. You can find out what it is by logging in to your account and by clicking on My Account > My Details. Use this number when you come in store or have it handy when you call so that we can ensure a speedy process.

How do I become part of the fun?

Simply click JOIN NOW at www.lloydsauctions. and register with your email address. If you don’t have a computer, no worries come in store and you can register and bid from there.

What is the Buyers Premium?

The buyer's premium is a percentage additional charge on the hammer price (winning bid at auction) of the lot that must be paid by the winner.

E.g. If you pay $100.00 for an item and there is a 16.5% buyer’s premium on that item, then you will pay a total of $116.50.

As a vendor when will my item be going to auction from date of drop off?

We will do our best to get your items into the following week's auction depending on the type of item you bring in. Please be aware that with the influx of items we receive every week it can sometimes become difficult to book every item that we receive into the next available auction. As a result, there is a chance that your item might go up to auction one week later. You can check out the details of your consignment by logging in to and clicking on My Account > Consignments.

Is it possible to get a refund?

Return of goods 

a. Goods purchased at auction may not be returned. No allowances, refunds or warranties are offered with any lot whatsoever whether express or implied. 

b. If however, we have, by our description or representation of a lot, misled you and a physical inspection of the goods was not permitted or would not have revealed true nature of the goods they may be returned. 

c. If you need to return a lot, we must be notified in writing within 5 days of the auction date. As the proceeds of sale are remitted to the respective vendors approx. 5 days after the date of sale, the goods must also be returned to us within 2 days.

Where are my items located for pick up?

Always be sure to check the details for the item under the description. There it will tell you the location of the goods and its associated pickup times. If you have any questions about your item, please call the collection contact for that auction listed.

Is it possible to get my items shipped?

It is possible for you to arrange postage on smaller items if you give us a call on (07) 5559 1999. We can add postage to your account for you to pay online. On larger items, we recommend you arrange your own courier service to collect the goods on your behalf. Just provide them with your customer number and the details of your item.

Why can I not phone shipping?

Due to high volumes of shipments being processed, our shipping department is unable to answer calls but please email shipping direct with all inquiries. Their email address is

What is the reserve on this item?

Due to the Queensland Auctioneering Laws, we are unable to disclose this information.

Where can I find my customer ID number?

Please log in to your Lloyds Auctions account, select My Account > My Details, and your customer ID number is located on the top left-hand side of the page.

How long do I have to pick up my items?

Due to the abundance of items being auctioned we would appreciate your items being collected within 48 hours of purchase. This ensures the ease of locating your items, especially the smaller lots.

We have several ways to process your payments, these include Electronic Funds Transfer, credit card payments and in-house payments.

Electronic Funds Transfer (Bank Transfer): Each Payment made through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) must include your Customer Identification Number in the reference column in order for us to correctly identify who and what account transferred the funds. Please allow 48 hours before collection of goods.

Credit Card Payments: A surcharge of 0.75% will be charged on all transactions.

In-House Payments: This can be completed with the following options at the reception desk in the main building of our branch in Carrara:

Pick up Auctions - Pick up the lot yourself. See opening hours

Shipping Auctions - Refer to the individual Auction terms and conditions found on the first page of the shipping Auction.  Please note: Manual post can not be added to these Auctions.  Please follow the prompts provided on the individual shipping Auction.

Parcel delivery by post (Manual application) – We can pack and send your smaller lots by post. Parcel delivery service can be ordered and paid for simply by contacting at the commencement of your bidding. By notifying us of your intention to post we can manually apply the appropriate charges and you can pay online.  This option is not valid on shipping Auctions where shipping is already applied through automatically.  Please refer to each individual auction for further shipping information.

Insurance - Insurance options can be requested for manual post for an additional fee simply by contacting at the commencement of your bidding.

Signature on delivery - Although all parcel post is registered, get peace of mind by adding signature on delivery for an additional fee.  Simply email

Smaller lots cannot exceed a weight of 22kg after packaging & 1.2m in length.

Shipment with a transport company – You can contact a transport company and have the lot delivered to your home. You can choose freely the company you want. All agreements are made directly between you and the transport company of your choice.  In the event Lloyds require to package and label your items, please email  If you have requested a transport company to collect your lot, you must remember to inform the auction house.  Shipping is undertaken by the transport company independently of In order to avoid storage fees you must, therefore, make the auction house aware of the shipping arrangements you have made with the transport company. 

Your responsibility - All items sent by parcel delivery, where you pay to organise the delivery, are covered by insurance when requested upon check out. If an item has been damaged or lost during transit, you must contact the auction house where you have purchased the item.  If you have paid a transport company to deliver your item, and damages or loss occurs in transit, please contact the transport company directly. cannot be held responsible for deliveries undertaken by transport companies and any compensation claim must be made directly to the transport company. We, therefore, encourage you to familiarise yourself with the transport company's specific terms and conditions.
